My first degree was a Bachelor's in Business Management, earned as a first-generation college student. Navigating higher education without a roadmap was challenging—limited resources, few tools, and little guidance. While I initially believed Business would be my long-term path, my passion for counseling and teaching ultimately led me toward the helping professions. Those early business skills, however, became the foundation that allowed me to successfully launch Valley Wellness Counseling in 2015.

In 2012, New York's highest ranking School of Social Work, Fordham University, became my Alma Mater, which became the start of my formal clinical journey. I later continued my academic and professional growth by earning my Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from Simmons University in Boston, where my work focused on supporting first-generation students, critical mentorship, and equitable access to wellness and education. I remain deeply committed to centering the voices of underprivileged communities whose experiences are often overlooked, helping clients explore and heal from educational, social, and systemic inequities.

 

For over five years, I have also served as an adjunct professor, guiding emerging leaders through high school, college transitions, and career exploration. Outside of my clinical and academic work, I enjoy long-distance running, spending time outdoors, and engaging in community service.
